As a Registered Nurse Coach, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and guiding patients on their healthcare journey. As an integral part of our telephone-based health programs for our private health insurance clients, you will have the opportunity to support patients with identified health needs. As a Registered Nurse Coach, you will:
- Establish strong relationships with patients to achieve the best possible outcome.
- Demonstrate core nursing values of patient centred care, trust and respect in every interaction with patients, carers and colleagues.
- Take accountability for establishing and evaluating individualised care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, carers and the healthcare team.
Experience/knowledge requirements:
- Registered as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA.
- A minimum of 3 years of practice as a registered nurse unless extensive experience can be demonstrated in a related position.
Personal competencies required:
- Proven people and communications skills, including relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussion.
- Broad clinical experience in a variety of settings and/or the ability and willingness to learn new skills and information quickly.
- Patient centred focus, adaptability, respecting diversity, innovative thinking, application of evidence into practice and self-management.
- An awareness of own values and beliefs surrounding healthcare with an ability to identify and respect an alternative view.
- Awareness of knowledge limitations and comfort in seeking appropriate education and training.
- Ability to communicate accurately and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and responsibilities.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
