Honeysuckle Health has partnered with Osara Health, formerly known as CancerAid, to educate and support patients suffering from cancer. From today, our client and health partner, nib, will offer the Cancer Coach Program to their members at no additional cost.
Cancer Coach is an education, support and behaviour change program designed by oncologists to help people take control of their cancer care and achieve better outcomes.
The program offers one-on-one support from a qualified Health Coach, who will support, listen, motivate and empower members to take action and make decisions to improve their everyday wellbeing.
In Australia, almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, and it's estimated that over 1 million Australians are currently living with cancer or beyond cancer. By providing an easily accessible program, Honeysuckle Health hopes to equip people suffering from cancer with the support and tools they need to achieve better outcomes.
We see this as an exciting opportunity to make cancer support more accessible to Australians however, users must be aware that The Cancer Coach Program is not designed or intended to replace the care already provided by their medical specialist team. One of the outcomes of the Cancer Coach Program is to ensure participants have more informed conversations with their medical team, and they will be strongly encouraged to discuss their participation in the program with their treating health provider.
