Honeysuckle Health partners with SilverCloud Health

Honeysuckle Health has partnered with SilverCloud Health (SilverCloud) to bring to Australia a series of digital mental health and wellbeing support programs which will be piloted to Honeysuckle Health’s foundation client nib Group (nib).

SilverCloud is a leading global digital provider of evidence-based behavioural and mental health solutions backed by 18 years of clinical research and evidence. It supports over half a million people globally across more than 300 organisations.

From 5 August 2021, SilverCloud's digital mental health platform will be available to nib members, for the next 12 months, at no additional cost, helping to empower them to take proactive steps to look after their mental health and wellbeing.

There are over 20 mental health programs available where nib members can choose to complete the programs on their own or with the support of a Honeysuckle Health Mental Health Supporter, making each interaction unique to the member and their personal health needs.

In Australia, one in five people (20%) aged between 16-85 years’ experience a mental health issue in any year. By providing an easily accessible platform, Honeysuckle Health hopes to better equip Australians with the tools and techniques they can use every day to manage common health issues - like stress, anxiety, and poor sleep - and help prevent the development of more serious health issues down the track.

We see this as an exciting opportunity to make mental health support more accessible to Australians, however it is important that users are aware that the SilverCloud programs are not designed or intended to replace the care already provided by a psychiatrist, psychologist, or GP’s. Users of the SilverCloud platform will be strongly encouraged to discuss this with their treating health provider.
